The Joint Kent Chiefs was set up in January 2011 and comprises Chief Executives from the public sector organisations represented on the Kent Forum and additionally the Chief Constable, Chief Executive of Kent PCT, and the Chief Executive of Medway Council. The Joint Kent Chiefs assumed the responsibilities of the Kent and Medway Chief Executives and the Kent Public Service Board.
The Joint Kent Chiefs aims to use the collective expertise, knowledge and resources of the Chief Executives and other staff to pro-actively support the Kent Forum so that they have the right information at the right time to enable good judgement and decision making.
The Joint Kent Chiefs will meet every two months.
